Ending over three months of uncertainty since Ramalinga Raju’s confession of fraud on January 7, 2009, the Satyam Board, on April 13, announced Tech Mahindra (a telecom-focused Indian IT services company), as the highest bidder to acquire a 51% controlling stake in Satyam.

While Tech Mahindra is a well known IT services company for telecom companies, it is likely that many of Satyam’s clients are unfamiliar with this Indian supplier.
